Stephanie and Urvi needed a break from their housing search so we took a day trip to the resort town of Nyon, about a 15 minute train ride up the lake from Geneva.Nyon is an old Roman town on the way to Lausanne (northeast of Geneva). We walked around the old city wall, along the waterfront, went out on the lake in paddleboats and had some wine. This is one of my favorite ways to spend weekends in Europe - to get out of the city and explore. I need to remember to do more of this kind of thing when I'm at home.
